Aim and Scope
Varia Hukum: Jurnal Forum Studi dan Kemasyarakatan is an open access, double-blind peer-reviewed law journal that explores the relationship between law, society, and governance. The journal provides a platform for critical discussions on how legal norms, institutions, and policies shape and are shaped by societal transformations, particularly in Indonesia and the Global South. Emphasizing interdisciplinary and empirical legal research, Varia Hukum welcomes scholarly works that analyze contemporary legal developments and their broader implications for justice, democracy, and human rights.
The journal covers a diverse range of legal topics, including but not limited to constitutional law, administrative law, criminal law, civil law, international law, adat and Islamic law, environmental law, and digital law. Articles may address issues such as access to justice, legal pluralism, regulatory frameworks, cyber law, sustainability, human rights protection, and legal responses to emerging societal challenges. Comparative legal perspectives and multidisciplinary approaches are highly encouraged to enrich legal scholarship and policy discussions.
